Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 May 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pyvine, a behavioural finance application provided by Pyvine Ltd ("we", "us"), registered in England & Wales. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Pyvine reads your bank transaction data via Stripe Financial Connections and surfaces a Financial Discipline Index (FDI), behavioural insights, missions, and visual progression ("the vine"). Phase 1 is read-only. We do not move money, hold deposits, issue cards, or execute transactions.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a UK resident to use Pyvine.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email/phone secure.
- You may delete your account at any time from inside the app.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pyvine for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Scrape, automate, or hammer our APIs in ways not intended by the app
- Connect bank accounts that aren't yours, or that you aren't authorised to read
- Misrepresent another person, or use someone else's account
5. Open banking + your bank's terms
When you connect a bank, you authorise Stripe Financial Connections (acting under FCA rules for Account Information Service Providers) to share your account information with Pyvine. Your bank's own terms continue to apply. You can revoke access at any time from inside the Pyvine app or your bank's portal.
6. The FDI score is not financial advice
The Financial Discipline Index, predictions, missions, and insights are informational signals derived from your historical transaction patterns. They are not:
- regulated financial advice
- a credit score, lending decision, or affordability assessment
- a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any product
- a guarantee of any future financial outcome
Always combine Pyvine's signals with your own judgement and, where appropriate, the advice of an FCA-regulated financial adviser.
7. Subscriptions (when offered)
Pyvine may offer paid plans ("Pyvine Plus") via Apple App Store and Google Play. When applicable, billing terms, renewal, and cancellation will be governed by the relevant store's policies, plus any pricing information shown in-app at the time of purchase. Phase 1 is currently free.
8. Beta / early access
Pyvine is in active development. Some features may be unavailable, incomplete, or change without notice. You agree to use early-access builds at your own discretion and to provide feedback constructively.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms. You may close your account at any time from Profile → Privacy → Delete account.
10. Liability
Pyvine is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: indirect, incidental, or consequential losses; decisions you make based on FDI scores, predictions, or insights; loss of profits, savings, or data. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes we'll notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of Pyvine after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
